Another milestone for overseas markets! LOGIANT, an Ant Robotics brand, has deployed its new FlyPick  Robot 2.0 (hereinafter referred to as FlyPick 2.0) at a logistics project in North America. A total of 162 units of the FlyPick robots have been rolled out in one go to automate sorting for cross-border express parcels in North America. This real-world overseas deployment validates the robust capabilities of the 2.0 version, marking a new iteration of Ant’s FlyPick Robot featuring higher speed, longer battery life, lower noise and enhanced scenario adaptability.

Covering an area of approximately 1,634 square meters, the site is equipped with 162 sorting robots, 312 sorting chutes and 8 parcel feeding stations. Hardware devices work in tandem with two core software systems to form a closed-loop workflow covering parcel feeding and scanning, robotic transportation, destination dropping, full-bag detection and exception alerts. The system is designed for a peak throughput of 7,500 parcels per hour. This flexible intelligent express sorting system replaces traditional manual sorting to meet demands for high-volume rapid parcel processing. Meanwhile, structural supports and interfaces for a second-level platform are reserved to support future business expansion and upgrade.

The newly launched  FlyPick  2.0 delivers leaps in hardware performance. It reaches a maximum travel speed of 3.5 m/s with acceleration boosted to 2.5 m/s². Its high-speed movement drastically cuts the transit time of individual parcels and raises the overall efficiency of fleet scheduling, enabling it to smoothly handle order surges during major shopping promotions. It also boasts a major upgrade in ultra-long battery life, greatly reducing charging frequency to support non-stop warehouse operations, cut downtime losses and keep the sorting line running steadily around the clock.

Tailored for human-robot collaboration in warehouses, the new version features optimized noise reduction. The robot maintains quiet operation even at high speed, improving the working environment and addressing noise issues caused by large fleets of AGVs running simultaneously, to build a more comfortable, human-centric smart warehouse. In addition, FlyPick 2.0 sports a refreshed industrial design. It strengthens structural durability while streamlining the vehicle profile, balancing aesthetics and industrial practicality for an all-round upgrade in hardware performance.

Beyond performance gains, Flying Picker 2.0 inherits Ant Robotics’ consistent strength in flexible automation, retaining four core capabilities: efficient picking, flexible expansion, precise delivery and wide-ranging adaptability. Powered by the mature ant-colony intelligent scheduling algorithm, multiple robots can operate in coordination without mutual interference. Its flip-type dropping mechanism accommodates various parcel types such as shoeboxes and apparel bags, handling both forward outbound sorting and reverse return sorting with ease. The modular flexible solution allows users to add or remove robots and expand sorting chutes as needed. Warehouses can scale up without large-scale renovation, achieving lower investment, faster deployment and superior performance and lowering the cost barrier for enterprises pursuing intelligent transformation.

Expanding from domestic deployments to global rollout, this North American logistics project serves as a large-scale overseas benchmark for Flying Picker 2.0. It not only puts the product’s capabilities to the test in live operations, but also extends Ant Robotics’ footprint in global smart logistics. Going forward, with stronger performance and broader scenario compatibility, Flying Picker 2.0 will further penetrate sectors including footwear & apparel and e-commerce retail, delivering premium high-speed sorting solutions to warehouse clients worldwide and empowering the upgrade of global smart warehousing with Chinese intelligent manufacturing.
