Smart Mobility for the Future: Geely Auto Partners with LOGIANT to Set a New Benchmark for Outdoor Campus Intelligent Logistics

October 30, 2026
With the further advancement of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing, the automotive manufacturing sector faces increasingly stringent requirements for production efficiency and cost control. As a key driving force for industrial upgrading, intelligent logistics technology is rapidly being adopted by major vehicle manufacturing bases. Leading automakers have taken the initiative in deployment in recent years, achieving remarkable cost reduction and efficiency gains through innovative models such as unmanned delivery and automated warehousing. Now, following the industry trend, Geely Auto has joined hands with  LOGIANT  to build a new benchmark for intelligent logistics, with outdoor unmanned tractors as the core breakthrough.

Project Pain Points

One of Geely’s production bases is currently manufacturing two core vehicle models simultaneously under heavy production pressure. Its logistics delivery process has long relied on manually driven tractors. Whether for SPS delivery, line-side feeding, or material transfer from the outdoor RDC to the small painting workshop, a host of challenges persist.

Project Solution

Based on in-depth on-site investigation, analysis and customized design tailored to the actual operational scenarios of Geely’s factory, LOGIANT delivers an all-weather outdoor unmanned material handling system integrating software and hardware. The project deploys  LOGIANT  outdoor autonomous tractors. Supported by multi-layer safeguards covering vehicle-side, roadside and cloud modules, the system enables safe and stable 7×24-hour operation.

Project Highlights

1

Cost Reduction, Efficiency Improvement and Higher Logistics Flexibility

The unmanned tractors support non-stop all-weather operation, substantially boosting delivery efficiency. The first trailer features an automatic hitching and unhitching function. Equipped with 3D cameras to accurately locate coupling points, it completes automatic hitching and unhitching in line with the overall cycle takt, achieving a material delivery accuracy rate of over 99.9%.

2

Safety and Reliability for Mixed Pedestrian-Vehicle Traffic

Multi-sensor fusion perception and autonomous obstacle avoidance algorithms guarantee safe vehicle operation in complex outdoor environments. 7×24-hour self-diagnosis and real-time cloud monitoring minimize safety risks.

3

Flexible Scalability for Future Scenarios

The system architecture is designed with future expansion in mind. It can seamlessly connect with traffic lights, roller shutters, barrier gates and other on-site equipment, supports multi-vehicle coordination and integration with third-party systems, and reserves interfaces for full-factory intelligent transformation.

4

Agile Deployment and Fast Go-Live

The platform can interface with the customer’s existing upper-level management system. Tasks can be dispatched via PDA, tablet or PC to enable rapid deployment.

The collaboration between Geely Auto and LOGIANT  marks a shift from manual tractor operation to autonomous towing, transforming outdoor logistics from a conventional workflow into an intelligent model, and establishing a new benchmark for outdoor campus intelligent logistics. Going forward,  LOGIANT  will continue to focus on intelligent material handling. With more advanced technologies and robust solutions, we will help more manufacturers upgrade their logistics systems and realize smart manufacturing transformation.
